INTRODUCTION TO HOLL KAABA BECAUSE IT IS Ø First structure build by Hazrat Adam to Worship Allah. Ø Then about 4500 years ago Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismael rebuilt it. Ø For the sake of achieving Allah’s blessings.
INTRODUCTION TO HAJJ Ø Hajj is an act of worship like Salat and Sawm. Ø MUCH IMPROTANCE BECAUSE OF “FINANCIAL AND PHYSICAL WORSHIP”. Ø Hajj to Makkah is the last pillar of the five pillars of Islam. HISTORY Ø Hajj was made compulsory in the 9th year of Hijra. Ø Hazrat Abu bakr Siddique with 300 Muslims were sent for Hajj by Prophet Mohammad. Ø Next year On 10th Hijra, Prophet Mohammed(s.a.w) performed Hajj with tens of thousands of Muslims. Ø This Hajj is known in history as 'Hajjatul Wida' because this was the last Hajj by Prophet Mohammed (s.a.w). It was “Hajj-e-

BASIR MUSTAFA
DEPARTURE FROM HOME Ø One must be mindful of his duties towards family and fellow human Muslim beings. Ø Make sure, before departing for Hajj that his family is provided for during the period he is away for the Hajj. Ø Pay up his debt and seek forgiveness from fellow human being. Ø He must not use unlawfully acquired money or unlawful means to perform Haj. Ø A woman is not allowed to perform Hajj alone and must be accompanied by an adult Muslim Mahram. Ø Do charity and offer two rakats of nafil.
IHRAM AT MIQAT The Miqat is a station where a pilgrim waits for permission to enter God’s House and purification from all pollutions. Ø Perform Ghusal. Ø Use perfume. Ø Then put Ihram. Brief about Ihram
HALTING PLACE-MIQAT YALAMLAM: Ø This miqat is a hilly area about 50 kilometers to the southeast of Makkah. This is the miqat for the people of Yemen and others coming from that direction. It is the miqat for many of the Hajjis from China, Japan, India, and Pakistan who come by ship or by air. Ø All those who head for God’s House have to stop in the Miqat, take off their ordinary

PROHIBITIONS DURING THE PILGRIMAGE(In state of Ø It is forbidden to have a hair cut during Hajj or Ihram) to wear sewn clothes. Ø Hunting is forbidden during the pilgrimage days. Ø If the pilgrim has sexual intercourse with his/her spouse before the first Tawaaf the Hajj will become invalid or unlawful. Ø Covering the head or face. Women are requried to cover theirs head only. Ø Shaving ,cutting or trimming of hair. Ø Cutting of nails. Ø Using perfume hair oil, or any kind of perfume.

PERMITTED ACTS OF IHRAM Ø Use of tooth brush or MISWAK. Ø Haramful insects may be killed. Ø Halal animals, but not hunted, may be eaten. Ø The use of blankets for covering the body, but not the head or face is allowed.

Ø Circumambulation means to go round something. Ø Utmost degree of love to the extent that a lover wishes to sacrifice himself for the beloved. Ø By going round the House of the Beloved,he wishes to prove that he desires nothing but God.
"Say: Surely my prayer and my sacrifice and my life and my death are all for Allah, the Lord of the worlds." (Al-Anaam, 6:162)
MUQAM-E-IBRAHIM BY AYAZ ALI
NAWAFAL AT MUQAM-EIBRAHIM Ø Breif about Muqam-e-Ibrahim. Ø At this place one should offer two Rakats of prayer while facing Ka’ba.
SA’EE (RUNNING BETWEEN SAFA’ AND MARWAH) Ø Allah the Exalted has said the Holy Quran:
“Surely, Al-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the Signs of Allah. It is, therefore, no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House, or performs Umra, to go round the two. And who so does good beyond what is obligatory, surely then, Allah is Appreciating, AllKnowing.” (2:158)
PERFORMING SA’EE Ø At this place, he should face towards Ka’ba and recite Durood, Takbir and Talbiyah. Ø Then walk briskly towards Marwah and recite the same at Marwah. Ø This counts as one circuit. Ø One should complete seven circuits between Safa’ and Marwah. These circuits are called Sa’ee. UMRA COMPLETES Free to move to resting place.

FIRST DAY-8TH ZIL-HAJ Ø Ihraam and Niyat in Khana-Kaaba. Ø On 8th day of Dul-Hajj the hajjis reach at Mina early in the morning after performing Tawaaf. Ø A pilgrim offers Duhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha’ prayers at Mina and camp there for the night.
SECOND DAY-9TH ZIL-HAJJ Ø Leaves Mina after Fajr and go to Arafat. Ø Staying at Arafat called Waqoof-e-Azam . Ø Offer Zuhrain at Arafat. Ø Leave Arafat at Magrib Azan and go to Muzdalifah. Ø Offer Maghribain at Muzdalifa. Ø Collect stones for Rami. Ø Night stay at Muzdalifa under open sky.
THIRD DAY-10TH ZIL-HAJJ Ø Leaves Muzdalifa for Mina. Ø Do stonning at Jamarat-ul-Uqba called Rami. Ø Do sacrifice. Ø Shave their heads. Ø Get out of prohibiton of Ihram. Ø Tawaf-e-Ziyarah. Ø Come back to Mina.
FOURTH DAY-11TH ZILHAJJ Ø Stonning all three Shaitains. Ø Nearest to Makkah called Jamarat-ul-Uqba. Ø Second nearest to mosque of Mina called Jamarat-ul -Wusta. Ø And the third one is Jamarat-ul-Sugrah. Ø Stay at Mina.
LAST DAY-12TH ZIL-HAJJ ØAgain stonning at three Shatians. ØLeave Mina before Asar prayer.
HAJJ COMPLETES.
TAWAF-E-WIDA TAWAF-E-WIDA ØHAJI PERFORMS LAST TAWAF SAYING GOOD BYE HOLY KAABA AND LEAVES FOR HIS HOME. ØHE HAS TO PERFORM TWO RAKATS OF NAWAFIL-E-SHUKRANA ON REACHING HOME.
HAJJ 2008-09 PAKISTAN Ø APPLICATIONS RECEIVED FOR HAJJ:
1,49,333 applications were received under the government scheme and 85,000 Hajjis would perform Haj this year under this scheme. As many as 60,250 pilgrims
have been selected through computerized balloting while 17,890 names have been included of those applicants who had remained unsuccessful during the last two years without balloting. QUOTA FOR PARLIAMENTARIANS: Ø It is to be mentioned here that the quota of 6860 pilgrims has been allocated for Parliamentarians, Speaker,
Deputy Speaker, Chairman senate, Deputy Chairman Senate, AJK Prime Minister and President, provincial ministers, governors and other high-ranking dignitaries.
