Where is the snow?

M

innedosa is listed as one of the Manitoba stops for the 2009 Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. We’ve been visited by the Holiday Train before, but this year should be extra special as the train is scheduled to roll into town in the evening, allowing us to witness first hand the beauty of this spectacular, illuminated train in the dark. In past years, the train has arrived in Minnedosa during the day. The Holiday Train is expected to arrive in Minnedosa at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 6th and roll out at approximately 9:45 on its way to Bredenbury, SK. The train will be stopping in its usual location, on the south side of the CP yard, just west of the historic and restored Minnedosa CP Station at 30 2nd Avenue N.W. Entertainers on this year’s Holiday Train include alternative rock band, the Odds, Shaun Verrault and Wide Mouth Mason. As in the past, everyone is encouraged to bring a donation of cash or food item to the Holiday Train in support of the local food bank. In the past ten years, the CP Holiday Train has helped raise four million dollars and two million pounds of food for community food banks.
