FRESH VICTORY
Member’s Notes
I. Introduction I was thinking about the trophies I won when I was younger. Those memories brought back a great victorious feeling. But that is still the past. Today, will I still be about to be victorious in those sport events? Spiritually many of us live in past victories. When we think about those spiritual victories, we think about the past. But Christians should live victoriously today and look forward to be victorious tomorrow. This lesson will give us 3 reasons on why we should and can do that.
Objective: At the end of this lesson, you will be able to: 1. Know 3 reasons why we should live victoriously in our Christian walk.
2. 3.
Articulate the reasons for the hope of your Christian faith. Exemplify faithfulness in our service to God.
On a scale of 1 to 10, do you see yourself as one who is always looking forward for new victories to conquer or one who like to reminisce (or is sentimental) about the past. Mark below.

II. Jesus Holds the Authority of Heaven and Earth Read Revelation 3:7-8 List down two descriptions of Jesus in these verses. Discuss its significances and what it means to you.
Jesus promises the Philadelphia church an open door. What is the single key characteristic of this church that causes Jesus to place that open door before them?
“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. Rev 3:7-8 7
List down 3 areas from the passage in which they excel in this characteristic.
Jesus holds the key to all the doors of opportunities. The doors that he opens no one can shut. Do you have a personal door that you want Jesus to open for you? Share.
As a ministry, Vision 120 is the door of opportunity that the Lord has placed before us. Collectively, what is the door of opportunity that we want Jesus to open for us as a cell?

III. Jesus Delivers Those who Endure Read Revelation 3:9-10
In the original Greek, the word, “keep from” can also be translated “keep out of” (verse 10). Why do you think were the reasons and/or conditions for Jesus to deliver them from the “hour of trial”.
What do you think were some of the things the Philadelphia church has to endure in their witness for Christ?
9 I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. 10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. Rev 3:9-10
Pastor Ronald mentioned that people who are asking for a “break from ministry” actually does not need a break! Rather, they need a breakthrough or a revival. The problem with us is that many times we do not endure until Jesus delivers us. Do you agree or disagree?
Is there something right now in your life that Jesus wants you to endure patiently? Write it down below or share with the group.
IV. Jesus Promises to Come Back Read Revelation 3:11-13 Jesus encouraged the church to hold on because he is coming back soon. What are the rewards that Jesus promises to those who are faithful?
Why do you think the second coming of our Lord is such an important doctrine for us as Christians? What does it means to you personally?
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. 13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Rev 3:11-13 11
A Christian writer once warned Christians against being too “heavenlyminded” lest we become of no “earthly-good”. Yet, we are now a generation that we are too engrossed in the earthly pleasures that we not heavenly-minded. A clear perspective of the eternal will cause us to re-evaluate many of the things that we are doing and hold dear now. How will having a “clear vision of heaven” change your perspectives, priorities and lifestyle?
V. Conclusion Write down one application point that you will take home and act upon it in the next 7 days. Close by sharing and praying with one another. 0.5
