EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: 1.
Frequency shift keying modulation and demodulation trainer kit.
2.
Dual trace oscilloscope 20Mhz
3. Patch chords(1 set) and user manual
CIRCUIT DIAGRAM:
PROCEDURE: 1.
Go through the theory of operation thoroughly.
2. Switch ‘ON’ the trainer kit.
3. Observe and note down the frequency and amplitude of the carrier generator with the help of oscilloscope. 4. Adjust the required frequency of the clock. 5.
Set the switches for required word pattern. Bring the ‘shift’ switch down and immediately to shift position, this will parallel load the word pattern in to parallel to serial converter (IC 74165).
6. Connect the data output to data input of the FSK Modulator. 7. And observe the FSK Modulated Output Waveform using CRO. 8. Connect the output of FSK Modulator to input of the FSK Demodulator. 9.
Observe the demodulated signal (output of the FSK demodulator) and compare with the original signal (i.e. modulating Data signal). With this we can conclude that the original data signal (modulating signal) has been recovered.
RESULT: Hence, verified the operation of FSK Modulator & Demodulator Circuit.
