ALL THIS ARE EXTRACT FROM HOFO ==============================
IMO, its impossible to totally kill a Motorola phone with software. Unless the hardware is faulty then there's always a way. Okay I think this says if your phone is toast and you get a "10" when you try and erase in RMLDR, you can use this procedure to perform a sudo "test point" instead of taking apart your phone. Remove the battery okay, here's where it gets fuzzy... you have to short pins 4 and 5 with 3rd contact from the charging port (boy a picture here is worth, like what 20 or more words!) Count to 20 Unshort everything and then reconnect your phone to your computer and you should be ready to restore your PDS and restore your backup. I think they are saying it works like 99.9(9)% of the time but try it several times should it not work for you on the first try.
Here is little more explaination on that force Neptune method, and please correct me if i m wrong. Steps:1) Remove your phone battery 2) Using a tiny pin, shortcircuit (connected together) pin 4 & 5 from the opposite end of the charge. 3) Do not remove the pin, and put the battery back with the shortcircuit and count for 20sec or count to 20. (There are total of 17 pins, starting with charger connector is pin 1. The shortcircuited pin is pin 13&14 from the charge or 4&5 from opposite end.) 4) After the counting your phone should be in S Neptune (and do not press ON), just plug it into your pc thru your usb cable. 5) Your should able to see the Neptune with Flashback or MFF and starting flashing it with 42R_for_all or any repair Mp or your own workable PDS/backup. Edit: I cant remember what Neptune it called, i can tell you it is not S Flash Neptune LTE. The force method will boot into different Neptune which i cant remember the name. Why i know different? Coz i actually done this b4 a year ago when i m a noob. Connector Pins|Descriptions 1|Power Gounds 2|Battery Feedback 3|External Power 4|USB+ 5|USB6|USB Power 7|Switched Battery 8|FM Data 9|Mute*
