Animals Learning Objective: 1.2 Pupils should learn that animals can be grouped according to external features Learning Outcomes: Pupils; • explain similarities and differences between animals based on the table. • group animals according to similarities in external features Activities: 1. Set induction: Can a cow and a cat be put in the same group? Why do you say so ? 2. Pupils discuss and construct a table based on the list of the external features. 3. Pupils record the external features of animals in a table. 4. Pupils discuss which animals have the same external features. 5. Pupils discuss the similarities and differences between animals and record their findings in a graphic organizer. 6. Pupils group animals according to similarities in external features.
