ESSAYS ¬) - An Echo - The scientific View OM (¬

When the Rishis started their research about God, it appears, that they first heard the Echo of OM in the state of Samadhi. Since the galaxies are racing at the terrific speed, therefore, it is natural, that there has to be some sound. But there is no air, therefore, transmission of this sound is not possible and can not be audible to the human ears. Yet this happens all the time, and all Rishis therefore unanimously declared ‘OM’ as the name of ultimate God. They also visualized the form of OM in our Aakash-ganga (Refer the note below) and the same was recommended to the practitioners for upasana . Thus this appears to be the first attempt by the Rishis trying to identify the nameless and formless God, which was unanimously approved by all Senior Rishis including the ‘Shaunak’ group. After the research of science of symbols through ‘Gayatri’ several symbols of God for Upasana (prayer) were formed (for details pl. refer essay no. 2).

Our Galaxy

Other Galaxy

a. Length of our galaxy = one lakh light years. b. Distance of our sun from the centre of the galaxy = 32000 light years. c. One light year = 9.46 x 1012 kilo meter. NOTE:- Please look at the fig. carefully:1. The composition of stars is such, that if the two outer rings are excluded, then the fig. of ‘¬ ’ naturally projects itself. 2. The central column represents Shivalinga or jyotirlinga. 3. The first stanza of Gayatri Mantra contains the research of OM.

GAYATRI MANTRA The Research of Science of Symbols ¬ HkwHkZo% Lo%] rRlforqojZ .s ;e~A

HkxksZ nsoL; /khefg] f/k;ks ;ks u% izpksn;kr~AA The right interpretation of Gayatri has already been given while discussing summary of session no. IV. Gayatri gives us:1. The name of God - OM (Refer pictures of galaxies in essay no.1) 2. The form of God - Sun (dazzling light) 3. The technique of attaining God - Contemplation, Meditation and Samadhi.

During ‘Sathya yuga’ there was pure scientific technique for praying formless God. This was known as ‘Adwait’ (Monotheism). There were four mantras only to meditate upon 1. Tatwamasi 2. Ayam Atma Brahm 3. Soham and 4. Aham Brahmasmi. Under strict celibacy and several auster activities only few sadhakas could successfully follow the path of ‘Adwait’. The technique comprised of meditation and doing japa of either of the four mantras till death; so that at the time of death the sadhaka is totally sub-merged into the idea of ‘Brahm’. Hence under the law of psychology - “As you think, so you become” the sadhaka adopts the form of ‘Brahm’ i.e. besides the physical body he sheds off the subtle-body as well and the spirit merges with formless God. Thus he goes across death i.e the Sadhaka attains salvation. Gayatri contributed formation of symbols. Thus the Rishis founded the new technique known as dualism (Dwait). In this technique spirit was accepted as the subordinate to the lord. Hence ‘upasana’ was based on some relationship believed to exist between the sadhaka and the God, say father and son, lord and servant etc. The perfection of upasana however led to liberation and not salvation. Following the research of ‘Gayatri’, the new prayer technique of symbols proved simpler, hence it was welcomed by the masses on the whole globe. Thus the contribution of Gayatri is surely commendable. This is why Gayatri was adorned with terms like - Vedmata; Mahamantra and Savitrimata.

‘Cow’ - The symbol of Mother Earth

This has repeatedly been discussed, that the Vedic knowledge has been expressed in terms of symbols. The misinterpretations of symbols has caused serious trauma to the Vedic society.

Cow - The Symbol of Mother Earth

1. ‘Cow’ symbol:- It means ‘mother earth’ and basically it means the poor, living on earth. They need 1. Bread, 2. Clothing, 3. Housing, 4. Education and 5. Respect. The kings were assigned special duty by the Rishis to ensure that, every citizen gets :- Bread, clothing, housing, education and due respect and also follows the ideologies of Vedic Dharm. The myth of king Dillip nursing the ‘Nandani’ cow conveys the message about the special duty of the kings. The message is that the subjects have to be nursed like the ‘Son’. Besides the kings, it is the duty of every individual also to see that no person in the society remains hungry, poor and diseased. As this has not been done since last three thousand years, hence, other religions have cropped up. This has also resulted into social evils like untouchability, naxalvaad, terrorism, and reservation issues of to-day. As a result these are the burning issues of India. 2. Slaughtering of Cow :- During British rule, India was known as ‘Bharat Varsha’, but for several reasons the country was cut into number of pieces, which actually means slaughtering of cow Vedic followers have shrinked their view only up to the literal meaning of the symbol. These pieces are:1.Afghanistan 2. Srilanka 3. Burma 4. Nepal 5. Bhutan & Sikkim 6. Tibet 7. East and West Pakistan 7. Maldeev 8 China captured 40,000 km. land and Pakistan captured 1/3rd Kashmir. Now the country is known as ‘India’ and ‘Bhaarat’. The residued India is nearly 1/3 rd of ‘Bhaarat Varsha’. Yet Hindus are not able to see the ‘TRUTH’. Following four conditions are essential for longevity of any nation. 1 One Religion 2 One Culture 3 One Language 4 Same ideology There was a period when there were no demarcation lines on mother earth, which in modern times are known as nations. Whole of mother earth sustained all the four conditions as above. Thus the Rishis’ version of “Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam” (whole globe is one family) was fully in practice.

The Symbols Commonly used in Puranas

In various sessions specifically in session nos. I, IV, V & IX several symbols have been discussed. Few more are being mentioned below:1. Black Tulsi (Ocimum-Sanctum) - The leaves of Tulsi, specially the root if chewed, increases the absorption of oxygen, hence is helpful in enhancing the sex-potential. Since the leaves act as antibacterial also, hence are useful if used with meals to keep away the infection. 2. Paras Stone - It is the symbol of ‘Sadguru’ (a noble teacher), who guides his disciple on the path of God. There is a wrong notion prevailing in the society, that this is a stone, which can change iron into gold. 3. Deities - To compose tales, the characters in human forms are required. Therefore varieties of god-forces available in nature have been scientifically designed, mythologies composed and stored in Puranas. The object was to convey Brahmgyan (Spiritual knowledge) to the masses in as simple manner as possible. 4. Demons - The ‘negative tendencies’ of human beings have been symbolized and used in composing the tales to make the story complete, interesting and popular. The deities and demons together serve the best characters and are able to convey the spiritual message even to the people of lowest calibre. 5. Kaamdeo and Rati- These symbols represent ‘tendencies’ of sex in male and female at Macro level. 6. Garud, Nandi, Mouse, Peacock, Eravat, and Lion - These are the mounts of lord Vishnu,Shiva, Sri Ganesha; Swamy Kartkeya, Indra and goddess Durga respectively. 7. Indra - A cloud with thunder is depicted as a god-force ‘Indra’ in human form with a crown on the head and a ‘bajra’ in his hand. He is known as the ‘Rain god’ and is the lord of all deities. 8. Trigun mayee Maya - It represents the delusion of human mind. Due to three qualities Sat; Raj and Tam, the human mind remains deluded in number of materialistic desires and thus the soul continues to move in infinite cycles of birth and death. 9. Yajna - The ‘Agnihotra’ has been equated to ‘yajna’. Yajna means an act, which is performed for the welfare of others without expecting return. Agnihotra (burning scented fire) is the symbol of ‘Yajna’.

The Life Force (Prana) A Modern View

Yoga scriptures have narrated five channels of energy flow. These channels have been interpreted in terms of modern science as under :1. Prana 2. Vyana 3. Samana 4. Apana 5. Udana

(Respiratory System) (Circulatory system) (Digestive System) (Excretory and Reproductive System) (Thought System)

Yoga scriptures also speak about seven chakras on human body, which control and regulate the human anatomy and physiology at subtle level, whereas according to modern science “Sympathetic And Para-Sympathetic Nervous System” is responsible for carrying out all activities of life. The relationship between the two has been explained in detail with the help of the chart in the book.

Energy Flow in Chakras

1. Sahasrasar (Cortex) Chakra 2. Ajyan Chakra 3. Vishuddhi Chakra 4. Anahad Chakra 5. Manipur Chakra 6. Swadhisthan Chakra 7. Mooladhar Chakra

Praying Deities Fulfilment Of Worldly Desires

Freedom from disease, hunger and poverty are the main targets fixed by Vedic Rishis as has already been mentioned at P-2 of the synopsis. In order to achieve these objectives gradual evolution of human beings has been planned. The entire planning is the part of the design of ‘Mokshha oriented society’. Therefore various deities have been designed for various needs of the masses:1. Freedom from disease - Use of Ayurvedic herbs yogasanas, Pranayaam, natural diet and worshipping lord Shiva are prescribed for freedom from disease. To tackle health problem and even when the disease has reached to a very critical state, the famous Shiva-mantra known as ‘Trayambkam Yajamahe’ etc. can save life of the patient. Faith sometimes can do miracles. (Refer session no.V in the book for details). 2. Freedom from hunger and poverty - Worshipping of lord Vishnu and goddess Laxmi besides the honesty and hard work is the formulae for attaining freedom from hunger and poverty. 3. Freedom from Adversities - Sri Hanuman is the deity to help us in adversities. The subject matter has been dealt in session nos IV & V 4. Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, Sri Ganesha, Sun god, Moon god - All these gods are helpful in our day-to-day problems. Their mantras and meditation on their forms can bring results. This should be done under the guidance of a guru. However the related mantras are given below:1. Lord Vishnu 2. Lord Shiva 3. Sri Ganesha 4. Durga 5. Sun god 6. Moon god

- ‘OM Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya’ and ‘Harih OM’ - ‘OM Namah Shivaya’ and ‘Shivoham’ - Sri Ganpatye Namaha - OM Em Hreem kleem chamundayee Viche Namaha - OM Hram Hreem Hrom Sah Suryayee Namaha. - OM Shraam Shreem Sharum Sah Chandramase Namaha.

After sincere practice in few incarnations, the soul is bestowed Scientific Intellect ie ‘Buddhi Yoga’. Then the jeevatma attains samadhi bliss and salvation (Srimad Bhagwad Geeta - 9/1; 7/2; 10/10). Important - For complete success the most important point is that mind should be concentrated on the specific colour designed and associated with each deity (Refer the book session no.IV).

An Ideal Democracy The Rishi Tantra

1. Object - This is a system of administration based on discipline and aimed at leading every individual to salvation and protecting every soul from falling down to lower yonis (species). 2. Training at school level - The admission of a student in gurukuls was based on the inborn tendencies i.e. the colour (Varna) of the sub-conscious. Parenthood was not the criterion for admission. Each student was forged a best cultured human being, strictly obeying the divine law of ‘karma’ and performing ‘Selfless duty’. Such person was known as Dwij (born second time). The term ‘Shudra’ means the person, who is intellectually poor, but can do hard labour e.g. legs of the human beings can be compared as Shudra, the brain as Brahmin, the arms as warrior and stomach as the business class. The gunas (qualities) of all the four ‘Varnas’ have been detailed in Srimad Bhagwad Geeta - 18/42-44. 3. Research and development Department - Eighty eight thousand researchers with ‘Sootjy’ as chair person carried out research work of every field of human life. These were known as Vipras. (Vipras’ are those, who have conquered senses) The findings of these ‘Vipras’ were verified at three levels and then circulated to Rishi Parashuram, states and sanyasis for implementation. 4. Vigilance Deptt. - Rishi Parashuram, the army chief of vigilance Deptt. was responsible for implementation of the Vedic injunctions. He kept sharp eye on kings. 5. Publicity Deptt.- The scholarly senior citizens, who had sincerely performed their selfless duty for the society were appointed as sanyasis. These scholars went door to door and cautioned masses from the fascination of the ‘world of matter’ (Maya). They preached them to continuously move on the path of God, who is permanent and blissful. 6. Brahmins - Some well trained Brahmin students were appointed as priests in temples, shrines and mathas to guide the society and help them in performing varieties of worships, yoga, provide astrological guidance and medical help etc. 7. Aashram System - For attaining the goal of ‘salvation’, the human life was divided in four Aashramas. 1. Brahmchari 2. Grahasthi 3. Vanprasthi 4. Sanyasi. This was strictly implemented.Through yagyopveet Samskaar following three teachings were compulsorily imparted to each Brahmchari. 1. Caring, nursing and respecting parents till last. 2.Caring, nursing the poor living in the society. 3. Ensuring that wholesome view of Vedic Dharm remains operative and no difference of opinion or change in Vedic ideology takes place. Since differences will then create hatred and bloodshed and the humanity will suffer, therefore to keep reminding these duties all the time, yagyopveet

constituted of three threads was put around the neck of each Brahmachari. This thread was then worn for the whole life. Ashwamedh Yajna - Rishis kept a watch that as and when there was an upsurge in the society, due to non-understanding of wholesome view of Dharm, they got performed ‘Ashwamedh yajna’ through kings and restored Vedic ideologies on the globe. It seems, that this practice continued till ‘Tretayuga’. 8. Commerce & Industry - Each village was an independent unit. Its all requirements e.g. Food, Fruits, Clothing, Shelter farmers tools and so on were easily made available. The business class manufactured and sold their product and ensured that the requirements of each individual are fulfilled at the minimum profit. The owners of every industry produced the maximum and no body did hoarding, because everybody was taught law of ‘Karma’, Hence no body put even locks also on their doors. They cared to see, that the food and arms reach to the jawans posted on frontiers of the country. They used to act like the stomach distributing the digested food to the whole body according to their needs. 9. Duties of States - The state was to protect the state land, Vedas, Brahmins and implement the laws of Dharm in the public. Kings as a duty were to support the Ashramas. Gurukuls, Sanyasis temples, Shrines etc. The highest inspiration to every individual was the ‘salvation’. On leading such disciplined and sacred life the nature also cooperated as narrated in Sri Ram charit manas. (Chapter VII, verse 23). The meaning of the verse is given below :The people suffered no physical, mental and spiritual ailment and clouds gave requisite quantity of water as and when demanded etc. - End -

A System of Character Building The Gotra Vigyan

Object - The object is to identify a person exclusively in the society with his distinguished character and keep him tied with certain symbol, so that individual maintains the strict discipline in life. First priority was given to ‘guru’ symbol. To maintain high moral character, the discipline taught by a particular guru, living in the society was strictly followed. The disciples vowed not to commit any such act, which may lead to bad name to their ‘guru’. First example of such identification is found in Mahabharata, when Arjuna while introducing himself in an assembly told that he is the disciple of guru ‘Drona’ a famous spiritualist and warrior of his times. While doing so Arjuna mentioned the name of his ‘Guru’ first. The name of father was mentioned thereafter. The statement reads as under :“I am Dron Shishya, Pandu Putra Arjuna”

Following this tradition people linked themselves with famous gurus as named below:1. Bharadwaj 2. Gautam 3. Shandilya 4. Maitreya 5. Gargeya 6. Vastsalya etc. The Brahamins carried these names in original with their names, whereas business people were advised to add word ‘al’ to keep difference between them. Thus the gotras of business class were known as under:1. Bhaddal 2. Goel 3. Shinghal, 4. Mittal, 5. Garg and 6. Bansal etc. Some people perferred to distinguish, their identity by linking themselves with their profession:e.g. I Remembering text of one Veda were known as Vedi, remembering of two, three and four Vedas were respectively known as Dwivedi, Trivedi and Chaturvedi. II Selling iron material were known as ‘Lohia’, Selling perfumes (Gandh) were known as ‘Gandhi’ Selling clothes were known as ‘Kapadia’. III Some people linked their names with their village - Varnala, Jhunjhunwala, Palkiwala etc. IV Some persons linked themselves with their great ancestors - e.g.Jaisinghani, Raisinghani, Chandwani, etc. V Some people identified with their grand father, village, father self & then varna e.g. T.S.L.V. Sharma. The entire drill mentioned above was the part of the big plan of “Mokshha oriented society” designed by the Rishis to keep the masses tied in discipline and their character high. Due to passage of time, the masses have forgotten the object and origination of such great idea. Subsequently the people started thinking that these are their caste and thus they are fighting on caste basis. Infact all over the world, there are only four ‘Varnas’, Brahmin, Chhatriya, Vaishya and service personnel. But in India there is lot of confusion due to ‘gotra’ system. This needs publicising amongst the masses, so that the correct message goes to Vedic followers and the ideology of high moral character is restored in the society.

Vision of Totality Sathyam Shivam Sundaram

There are several characteristic features in Vedic Dharm, but the vision of totality is one which gives Vedic Dharm the status of eternity, universality and true for all three periods of time. Some facts to support this speciality of Vedic Dharm are given below:Vision of Totality - The Vedic Rishis have propounded numerous laws during their multifarious researches. They found several valuable gems, whom they interwove into the garland of human life and left for us as valuable heritage. The vision of totality is one such priceless gem, which gave birth to a great noble statement like Sathyam Shivam Sundaram. Somehow we have not been able to understand the object, the meaning and the benefits of the great and noble statement of ‘Sathyam Shivam Sundaram’. So we made wrong interpretations. Thus the society and the scholars are confused. To preserve the eternal truths intact and carry them forward to the following generations, these were enwrapped into arts (music, dance etc), so that it becomes acceptable to both (Faith and Reasoning class) of People. Example:To carry an eternal truth, that the laws of Dharm fade as the Yuga (time) passes by :In sathyuga all the four laws of Dharm - i.e. Sathya; Tapa, Selfless duty and Daan remain operative, whereas in Tretayuga, Sathya is shed, in Dwapar only two later laws remain in operation and kaliyuga only Daana remains effective. To convey this truth a story has been created as under:There was a woman, who went to bathe the ganga river. A man named Dharm Dev followed her and proposed himself for marriage. He said you are young and beautiful women, whereas your husband is old. She heard this thrice and then cursed. ‘Fade with time’, Now ‘Dharma dev’ started shrinking. Dharm dev explained her, that he was in fact the ‘Dharm’ and came there to test her loyalty. The woman replied whatever you may be, my words shall surely fructify. Dear Readers! Kindly note that due to such romantic myth, every common man will remember this fact of nature that ‘Dharm fades with time’. Thus the object of Rishis to convey even the most serious message to the masses in as simple manner as possible has been fulfilled. Hence the Shivam (well being) of the common man has been achieved through amalgamation of eternal truths (science) with Arts (music, dance, paintings etc.) and literature (myths, allegories, metaphors etc). It has been observed, that the society at a particular period touches one extreme end, then it reverts to the other. Therefore it is hoped, that the coming generation shall discard the prevailing concepts of religions and gradually adopt the analytical aspect and understand the totality. Thus our two thousand and one hundred era shall be the era of science, which will bring peace harmony and brotherhood all over the globe. This shall be known as the incarnation of Kalki Bhagwan.

Scientific Analysis of Homoeopathy

This article has also been incorporated in the separate book titled as “The way to perfect health”. The subject matter of this article is a philosophical elaboration of homeopathic Science. Since Homoeopathy is a spiritual science, hence has been dealt in detail in session (chapter) no. VIII titled as “The aspect of health” in the main book. The object of this chapter is aimed to give the message to the readers, that the diseases are caused due to mental stress and are governed under the law of ‘karma’. The miasms are transferred from parents and each individual is born to suffer varieties of diseases due to the seed of karma (miasms). Dr. Hahnaemann has worked out in detail the causes of diseases and the way to annihilate them through antimiasmatic remedies. This is the greatest service to the mankind Dr. Hahnaemann has rendered. Entire humanity shall remain indebted for his great heroic deed, Victory to Dr. Hahnaemann.
