PEER REVIEW CRITERIA AND CHECKLIST Reviewer _____ Country Reviewed___

Introduction and purpose The Peer Review of plans aims at ensuring that country plans address the FIVE Dakar commitments: • Getting results by scaling up health related MDGs 1,4,5,6,7 by reviewing and using existing policies, sector plans, roadmaps and other opportunities; • Strengthening evidence base – streamlining and taking integrated community approaches to scale and monitor for results; • Leveraging resources through strategic partnerships with other UN agencies, partners and governments. • Developing effective Communication and advocacy strategies based on evidence for results; • Measuring results by establishing and supporting credible tracking systems development. Plans will be reviewed for the purpose of improving them looking at both the PROCESS of development as well as the QUALITY of the plan.

Checklist for AARM Plans

Investment plan is costed using MBB 5. Programme communication strategy included with the aim of results in behaviour change in a key outcome area 6. Includes clear system of tracking progress
