WHA T IS Ca mp Bles sed ? The name of this retreat is Camp Blessed. The puzzling and oftentimes perplexing world of teenagers seems to be getting worse by the day. From substance abuse, to violence, to spiraling moral worldviews in the pop culture that surrounds them, Christian teens in this new millennium need to be steadfast and realize the great plans that God has for their lives. The CFC-Youth For Christ weekend retreat is designed to do just that! We are excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the work that God is going to do in our community through this life changing weekend. The retreat is primarily designed to help teens know, live, share, and own their faith. The participants will be equipped to live strong and stand firm in a culture of fear due to global and personal uncertainty. This weekend retreat will use Genesis 12:2-3 as a survival guide to provide teens with the strength that comes only through Jesus Christ. This youth retreat is also an exciting spiritual experience! For the youths there will be interactive games, inspiring and interesting talks, a late night bonfire, entertaining performances, and much more!

WHAT IS Youth For Christ? CFC-Youth for Christ is a youth ministry under “Couples for Christ”, a family life renewal ministry recognized by the Vatican Pontifical Council. It is a Christian youth group that can be found all over the world, in every continent! CFC-Youth For Christ’s goal is to help introduce Jesus Christ in a new and exciting way into the lives of today’s youth. It creates a positive environment where youth can meet others their age, help discover themselves and their talents, and most importantly, sustain a strong relationship with God. It puts a premium on four characteristics: it is fun and exciting every week; it builds friendships that last a lifetime; it enhances faith by truly knowing Jesus Christ personally; and it allows the young to express themselves in a free, yet responsible way.

CFC-Youth For Christ is therefore absolved and released from any responsibility and / or liability while engaged in the activities within the scope of the program. DIRECT IONS: From Markham area (Travel time: approx. 35 mins) • North on either Markham Road (Hwy 48) or McCowan Road to Bloomington • Turn right (east) and proceed to Ninth Line • Turn left (north) and proceed approx 7km. You will go around Musselman’s Lake • Shadow Lake Centre is on the right (east) side of the road approx ½ km south of Aurora Road From Toronto area (Travel time: approx. 40-50 mins) • Travel North on Hwy 404 to Aurora Road. Turn right (east) and proceed to Ninth Line (York 69) • Turn right (south) and proceed approximately ½ km • Shadow Lake Centre is on the left (east) side of the road From Durham area (Travel time: approx. 40 mins) • Travel west on Hwy 7. • Turn right (north) on Ninth Line • In Stouffville, at lights, turn right (Main Street) • Turn left (north) at first light (continuation of Ninth Line) • Travelling north you will cross Bloomington Rd. and travel north of Musselman’s Lake • Shadow Lake is on the right side of road about ½ km south of Aurora Rd.
