Nacht scènes overdag draaien!!!
Plot Summary:
A film company at work. Actors arrive and depart; liaisons develop. Julie, the beautiful but possibly unstable lead, is recovering from a breakdown, aided by an older physician, her new husband. Alphonse is insecure, he babbles. When his fiance exits with a stunt man, he threatens to quit. Julie must convince him to stay. Alexandre, a consummate pro on the set, runs back and forth to the airport hoping a certain young man will visit. Severine, no longer young, hits the bottle and covers blown lines with emotional outbursts. At the center is Ferrand, the writer director, who must make constant decisions, answer a stream of questions, and deliver the film on schedule. Directed by: François Roland Truffaut

Mon oncle (1958)
Plot Summary:
Hij werd onderscheiden met de Oscar voor beste buitenlandse film. In deze film gaat Monsieur Hulot op bezoek bij zijn kleine neefje die samen met zijn ouders in hypermodern huis woont. De ouders zijn namelijk eigenaren van een gigantische plastiekfabriek. Hulot vindt het helemaal niets in het grote, lege kille huis: de ultrastilistische stoelen zitten niet lekker, de afstandbediening waarmee het elektronisch bestuurde huis bediend wordt, werkt niet. Het huis is kil, koud en onpraktisch. Monsieur Hulot merkt dat zijn neefje ongelukkig is: het kind mag namelijk geen vriendjes meenemen want dan gaat de moderne kunst in het huis kapot, het joch vindt ook geen warmte bij zijn ouders want die zijn altijd aan het werk. Hulot neemt zijn neefje mee naar een nostalgische gezellige woonwijk waar het joch met zijn vriendjes kan spelen. De boodschap is: kille decadentie is maar niets, oude gezelligheid dat is wat een kind nodig heeft. De film eindigt met een scène waarin de oude woonwijk plaats moet maken voor een hypermodern kantorencomplex. "Mon Oncle" is een komedie waarin decadentie, moderniteit, hebzucht en de onschuld van de jeugd centraal staan.
