Sense of Place: Planning for the September 2009 conference is now in full swing, with Jane Stoneham inviting suggestions for the programme, Tony Kendle sharing thoughts on how "we create physical environments that allow people to come together more successfully, and at the same time remain mindful that they are rooted in a real geography on a living world", International Connections: has a conversation starter from Jim and Kathy at NEF around 'asset-ness' (WELL worth a read! - see also the paper in Sense of Place - the NEF team proposes a new term, asset-ness, '... integrates perceptions about both the relative importance and the level of the benefit derived from the asset".).
