Dr. Freya R. Tamondong Named as the New Principal of ETPNHS

Change is the only thing that doesn’t change. It’s a chapter that exhibits how a beautiful butterfly crawls and chews leaves as a caterpillar first before flying and feeding on nectars. Change is a phase that everything and everyone goes through; like how the departure of an excellent educator marks the coming of another exceptional educator who will bring a big bag of change in the school. It's a needed metamorphosis for the improvement of the school. As 9th of November, 2018 unfolded, a new chapter began in Enrico T. Prado National High School. It was sunny and bright when the whole ETPNHS welcomed Dr. Freya Rosario Tamondong. A superwoman as people call her, Dr. Tamondong A.K.A “Woman of Energy” is a full spirited school administrator who came from Urbiztondo Integrated School where she has most recently been performing her duties as the School Principal for three and a half year. This bright and indefatigable Principal IV finished her elementary education at Urbiztondo Central School, her secondary education at Urbiztondo Private High School and after which she flew to Pangasinan State University Bayambang Campus where she finished her Bachelor’s Degree. Being born to a mother whose livelihood depended on dressmaking is not easy but, despite not being born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she managed to finish her studies with all her hard work. To remark her as a diligent person is an understatement to describe all her tireless perseverance to complete her Bachelor’s degree. She searched the world for good Samaritans who would fund her studies. She even stopped being a student for three years to work as a Nanny in the hopes of saving enough money to finance her education. “Excited” that’s what Dr. Tamondong had said when asked about what she felt after learning that she would be transferring and handling Enrico T. Prado National High School. Unbeknownst to many, the new School Administrator has initially been assigned to transfer in Labrador National High School, but destiny decided that she belongs to be in ETPNHS rather. Her plans in ETPNHS includes maintaining the glory of the school for being a National Awardee, and for her to do this, she plans to improve the school and make it even greener and better, and childfriendlier. She also plans to tighten the security of the school by installing CCTV cameras and having the No ID, No Uniform, No Entry policy strictly implemented for Enricans’ safety. "We should always be God-Fearing, and always do everything under God's Glory," are the words of the newly installed School Principal IV's parents that students can use and apply in their lives.
