Facility Safety Policy Statement As Distribution center Manager of TMSi, I recognize my responsibility in accident prevention. Accident prevention is one of our greatest responsibilities and shall be given the same importance as quality and production. It will be an integral part of all operations. The accident prevention program will not be a program that is conducted when there is time, but the safety and health of our employees will be the primary consideration in our operations at all time. Each supervisor and Lead shall be responsible and accountable for the control of accidents that cause employee injury or property damage in their hub. Because accidents are caused, they can be prevented. I expect each supervisor, trainer, and Lead to be keenly interested in and personally involved in our accident prevention program. Accident prevention is not someone else’s concern; it is our concern. Each supervisor shall provide leadership and influence to assure our goal of accident prevention through training and good housekeeping practices. Each employee is, to a large extent, directly responsible for and in control of, their personal safety. To promote individual safety, certain policies, procedures and regulations have been published. I require each employee, from the most senior manager to our newest employee, to comply with these policies at all times. These policies have one objective in mind: Avoid injury to yourself or others. The safety and health of employees are matters of primary concern to TMSi. Consistent with this, TMSi will provide the authority and resources to enable management to achieve this objective. The price of accidents and injuries in human suffering and dollars is high. It can only be controlled if everyone knows, accepts and fully carries out accident prevention as his responsibility. Our goal is safe production.
