And only Allah do we ask for HELP... In times of difficulty we turn to Allah, for many the exam period is such a time. This is mostly a time of stress, headache and a longing to be anywhere/ do anything but work. Du’a is your best weapon in this time of need, so turn to Allah and trust Him completely. "Du'a is a weapon of a believer, a pillar of religion, and a light of the heavens and the earth." [al-Hakim] And your Lord says: Call on Me; I will answer your (prayers)… (Ghafir: 60) “When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them), I respond to the prayer of every supplicant when he calleth on Me…”. (Al-Baqarah: 186). ---------------------------------------------------Always begin your dua by praising Allah and sending Durood on the Prophet (SAW)

Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi ,adada khalqihi wa reeda nafsihi wa zinata arshihe wa midada kalimatihi

Allah is free from imperfection and I begin with His praise, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good pleasure, equal to the weight of His throne and equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words(for His praise)

Allahuma swali wa salim aalaa nabiyina Muhammad

O Allah ! Send prayers and peace upon our prophet, Muhammad (SAW) For orals, vivas, clinical exams, etc

Rabbi ishrah lee sadree. Wayassir lee amree. Waohlul Auqdatan min lisanee. Yafqahoo qawlee.

O my Lord! Expand for me my breast; Make easy my task for me; And remove the impediment from my speech, So they may understand what I say. (Ta-ha: 25-28) To increase knowledge

Rabbi zidnee ilma

O my Lord! Advance/Increase me in knowledge For protection against the shaytaan and his whisperings

Rabbi aAAoothu bika min hamazati-shshayateeni. WaaAAoothu bika rabbi an yahduroon

My Lord! I seek refuge in You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the devils. And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they should come near me. (Al-Mu’minoon: 97-98)

Dua for those in desperate need

Rabbi innee lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer

My Lord! I am in (desperate) need of whatever good You send me For those who need Allah to ease their difficulties and worries

hasbiya Allahu la ilaha illa huwa AAalayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa rabbu alAAarshi alAAatheem (Read Seven Times)

Allah is sufficient for me: there is no god but He: On Him is my trust,- He the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme! (At-tawbah: 129)

Allahuma la sahla illa ma ja’altahu sahla wa’anta taj’alul hazana ithaa shi’ ta sahla

‘O Allaah, there is no ease except in that which You have made easy, If You wish, You can make the difficult easy.’

Yaa hayy’yu yaa qayuumu birahmatika ‘astagheethu’ fa’aslih lee sha’nee kullahu walaa takilnee’ ilaa nafsee tarrfata aynin

O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting and Supporter of all, by Your Mercy I seek assistance. So rectify for me all of my affairs and do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for a blink of an eye Etiquettes of Du’a: • A Sincere Intention • Invoke with certainty that your du’a will be accepted • Only ask Allah for help • Make du’a for oneself first and then for others • Seek forgiveness from Allah while acknowledging one’s sins • Acknowledge the blessings of Allah upon oneself and show gratitude • Make du’a with full concentration, Allah doesn’t accept a du’a of a heedless heart • Realise you NEED Allah and realise Allah fulfils needs

Times of acceptance of du’a Du’a can be made at any time, but there are certain times, which are especially known to be times of acceptance. • Between Adhaan and Iqaamat • In prostration • When it is raining • When travelling on a journey • At a specific time during Friday • At the time of the pre-dawn meal (seher) • In the last third of the night (Tahajjud) • When fasting

When making dua for yourself, also make dua for your friends by name, for every time you make dua for another - an angel will say Ameen for you too.
