GENERAL GUIDELINES The teams must comply with the essence of the following points: 1. The event is being organized for students in three categories: Primary, Junior and Senior. o Primary level competitions are meant for students studying in classes III to V. o Junior level competitions for students studying in classes VI to VIII. o Senior level competitions for student studying in classes IX to X. 2. Each team must comprise of 4 students from the Primary, 3 students from the Junior section & 3 students from the Senior Section respectively. 3. Each team must be accompanied by two team leaders. 4. All Principals are cordially invited as our special Guest of Honour with the benefits of a complimentary stay as a gesture of gratitude for gracing the occasion with their benign presence. 5. The organizers will provide free accommodation to all out-station and International teams during the competition days at our International Students’ Hostel at CMS Kanpur Road, Lucknow. 6. The facilities provided to all out-station and international teams, apart from Board and lodge, will include the following: o Round the clock paid communication services, offering public call booth local, STD, ISD, E-mail services and Wi-Fi facility. o Primary First-Aid at the venue of event. o A shopping tour. 7. A nominal registration fee of the following amount will be charged per head from all student participants and team leaders o International teams - $15 per person (including team leaders), to be paid in person at the time of registration. o Out-station Teams – Rs. 1000, per person (including team leaders), to be paid as a Demand Draft. o Local teams – Rs. 500, per person (to be paid as a Demand Draft). 8. The Demand Draft prepared by the out-station and national teams must be in favour of City Montessori School, Lucknow. 9. The letter of Confirmation of Participation must be duly filled and sent well in time to reach us by 16th September, 2018. 10. Participating teams are requested to fill only their active telephone numbers, frequently used E-mail addresses and their complete postal address in the letter of Confirmation of Participation. 11. Registration form must reach the organizers latest by 16th October, 2018.

12. Names of the participants will not be changed once the Registration form is received and recorded. 13. A Registration Form will be considered authentic and valid only if it is complete in all aspects and is duly forwarded by the head of the institution. 14. International and out-station teams are required to send their completed Travel Details Form latest by 26th September, 2018, so that adequate transport arrangements can be made. 15. International teams must remain in constant touch with the organizers and must establish contact with the Convener, immediately upon their arrival in India. 16. In case of Visa clearance the International Teams must send their names, addresses, passport details well in advance (30-40 days prior to their date of traveling). 17. All local teams must get themselves registered on Saturday, 15th December, 2018 at 9:00 am, at the Registration Counter, at CMS Kanpur Road, Lucknow. 18. National and International teams will be registered upon arrival. 19. All International and Out-station teams must attend the press conference and photo session to be held on 16th December, 2018, at 1:30 pm and are therefore required to schedule their travel plans accordingly. 20. All teams must attend the Inaugural Ceremony to be held on 16th December, 2018 at the World Unity Convention Centre, City Montessori School, Kanpur Road, Lucknow. 21. Participating schools must carry their school flags for the inaugural ceremony. 22. A student will not be enrolled for two events happening at the same time. 23. A student must carry their own articles and requirements for the competitions. 24. Adherence to a given theme to a particular competition is mandatory and must be followed thoroughly. A diversion is allowed only where the competitions are not thematic. 25. School uniform and the Eureka identification badges must be worn for all competitions, except Footloose. 26. Add-ons may be worn on top of the school uniform to enhance performance but may be done only for the competitions where the rules state so. 27. All International and out-station teams are requested to come prepared to present a cultural item on 17th December, 2018. This presentation will be a friendly competition and will carry awards and certificates based on the merits acquired but these merits earned will not be added to the total marks obtained by teams. 28. Each category will be awarded by a separate championship trophy to their segment. The overall championship trophy will be awarded to the school which has participated and excelled as a team in the maximum number of competitions. 29. The Convener unquestionably reserves all rights and authority to exercise her discretion, as and when required.

CODE OF ETHICS The teams must comply with the essence of the following points: 1. The team leaders will be a hundred percent responsible for the behavior of their team members. 2. To know the whereabouts of the team members during the competition days will be the sole responsibility of the team leader.

4. Safeguarding the structure of the venue of event and all property, moveable and immoveable, will be the responsibility of the team leaders and their team members. 5. Any damage occurring due to the negligence or irresponsible behavior of any team member will unfortunately discredit the reputation of the institution and will also fetch disciplinary action against that particular team. 6. Adherence to the norms of discipline must be shouldered by each participating student member and team leader. 7. The Morning Prayer Assembly must compulsorily be attended by all student participants and the team leaders as it will ensure their attendance. Their failure in doing so will be accountable for their being marked as absent. 8. The presence of each registered participant and team leader throughout all days of the event is mandatory. 9. All team leaders must ensure that the presence of their team is acknowledged 20 minutes prior to the commencement of each competition. 10. The participants will not be allowed to visit their rooms during the time of any ongoing competition. 11. Team leaders must ensure that their teams stay back till the end of all performances/competitions, as it will encourage others and instill positive feelings of friendship and camaraderie. 12. Visitors will not be allowed to meet the participants and team leaders unless the team leader carries a letter of permission from the Head of his\her institution for the same. 13. The organizers have planned a specific date, venue and duration for the participating teams to go for shopping and will be much obliged if none of the team members or leaders approach for permission to go visiting/ shopping apart from the scheduled venue. 14. All valuables viz. jewelry, cameras, I-pods, laptops, I-pads, mobile phones and musical instruments will be the sole responsibility of the owner/ team leader. The organizers are NOT accountable for the loss of any of these articles or their likes.
