At this day and age where everything is technically  plausible, one cannot hinder his or herself to succumb to  all   the   temptations   that   are   scattered   in   his   or   her  environment.

In the broadest sense, a fraud is a deception made  for personal gain. Probably, that old age “By hook or by  crook” best exemplifies this act but then again, morality  prevails – the means doesn’t always justify the end.

It   is   quite   surprising  and   depressing  to note that  most   fraudsters   are   professionals   since   older,   more  educated persons tend to occupy such higher positions and  authority.   This   affects   the   future   workforce   of   the  country and this is where fraud awareness takes its cue.

Fraud   awareness   tends   to   deter   the   excessive  deceptions   made   by   just  about  employees.  It   would  truly  affect   one’s   career   development   because   this   would   make  him a holistic person – in such a manner that one truly  knows what is right from what is wrong.

As   one   of   the   future   workforces   of   the   country,   I  dream to make it big, just like everybody else does, and  I   know   that   it   is   this   path   that   will   lead   me   to   the  attainment of my dreams. Out of the thousands who will be  submitting   in   their   essays,   I   deserve   the   scholarship  because this scholarship will fuel my ambitions.

Quality education paves the way of a bigger, better  and   a   brighter   future   and   Pamantasan   ng   Lungsod   ng  Maynila   offers   it.   The   university   doesn’t   only   instill  these theories into our minds but it also molds us to be  better,   competitive   and   decent   professionals   in   the  future. PLM gives us an insight of what awaits us in the  real   corporate   world   and   definitely,   being   fraud   is   not  one of them. Fraud is such a big nono in our daytoday  discussions and it is implanted in our minds day in and  day out – not in business terms but in simple things such  as no cheating in exams and the like.

It would be such a shame to let that opportunity be  a waste if only for my family’s financial status.

I   go   to   school.   I   study   hard.   I   learn   about   the  theories. I learn about the future. I learn about what’s  right from wrong. I learn about life. At the end of the  day,   I   get   to   realize   how   important   education   is   to   a  person.   More   so,   I   learn   about   how   to   be   an   individual  who   can   be   successful   and   professional   all   at   the   same  time, without doing something wicked or impetuous.

A   good   future   is   at   hand   and   I   know   I   am   on   the  right track. No one can hinder me from attaining it, in  as much as one’s career can be as great as he hopes to be  without engaging in such fraudulent acts. The scholarship

is   a   great   avenue   for   me   to   continue   studying   while   I  rest   assured   that   no   one   can   stop   me   from   living   my  dreams   in   the   future   –   be   it   financially,   or   something  else.
