Simple round shapes make up this guy  Materials Used: Aluminum size G hook (US) WW yarn (less than 3 oz) Poly Fiberfill Stuffing Scissors Yarn Needle I used the double ring instead of chaining to begin my ami. The double ring is just a thicker version of the magic ring, in that it uses two loops instead of just one. Basically, you loop yarn over twice on your finger, remove your finger and pull up a loop- and at that point you can crochet into the ring, pulling the end of the yarn so the rings close.

Directions: Body Ball: (Make one) Make a double ring 1) Make 8 sc in ring and pull tight. 2) 2 sc in each sc around. (16 sc) 3) Make (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next) around. (24 sc) 4) Make (sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next) around. (32 sc) 5) Make (sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next) around. (40 sc) 6 thru 20) Sc in each sc around. (40 sc) 21) Make (sc in each of next 3 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc’s) around. (32 sts) 22) Make (sc in each of next 2 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sts) around. (24 sts) 23) Make (sc in next sc, sc2tog over next 2 sts) around. (16 sts) STUFF TIGHTLY! 24) Make (sc2tog over next 2 sts) around. (8 sts) Fasten off yarn leaving at least 6” tail which you will use to sew up the small opening. Earballs: (Make two) Make a double ring 1) Make 8 sc in ring and pull tight. 2) 2 sc in each sc around. (16 sc) 3) sc in each sc around. (16 sc) 4 thru 12) Repeat Round 3. (16 sc) 13) Make (sc2tog over next 2 sts) around. (8 sts) STUFF TIGHTLY! Now instead of sewing opening shut in a smooth rounded shape, flatten opening closed and sc through both thicknesses across. You should have 4 sc’s across. Fasten off, leaving at least 6” tail for sewing. Sew to top of body, use picture as reference. You should sew the ears on at about Round 4 or 5, with one on either side across from each other. Legballs: (Make two) Make a double ring 1) Make 8 sc in ring and pull tight. 2) Make (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next) around. (12 sc) 3) sc in each sc around. (12 sc) 4 thru 20) Repeat Round 3. (12 sc) STUFF TIGHTLY! Stitch closed as per Earball method. Sew to bottom of body evenly. The face you can make as you wish, I made an attempt to embroider mine. Haha.
