* Guest speakers are experts, who will go into detail on their field of knowledge, either on pension provision or on international co-operation. For different courses, there will be different guest speakers. AERE recruits guest speakers from its supporting members, such as AEIP, EFRP, European Institutions, staff of private pension providers and member-state pension institutions and other players in the pension field. ** Interviews are conducted in the Brussels offices of players in the European arena who are knowledgeable in the field of pensions. Participants in the course will split in small groups and will have an assignment to carry out. *** A practical case study will familiarize participants with the arguments for and against international co-operation and the kind of opportunities and practical obstacles that need to be taken into account. Participants will split into groups and will be assigned a role to play.
