Details of Criteria for Assessment and Evaluation of Teachers’ Qualifications Required for Teacher Profession Teachers' Qualifications Assessment for Teacher License 1.

Principle

It is stipulated that the Teachers' Council be responsible for professional knowledge and experience including professional expertise (Section 9 (8).)As to Teachers' Council and Educational Personnel Act B.E. 2546, teacher is a controlled profession. One who is a teacher having been granted the License must behave in consistent with Professional Standards and Ethics imposed by the Teachers' Council (Section 48.) Professional standards include professional academic standards and experiences, and require that a teacher must possess at least a bachelor's degree in education or equivalent, or other qualifications verified by the Teachers' Council. The 9 professional academic standards are required as follows: (1) Language and Technology for Teachers (2) Curriculum Development (3) Learning Management (4) Psychology for Teachers (5) Assessment and Evaluation (6) Classroom Management (7) Educational Research (8) Education Innovation and Information and Communication Technology (9) Professionalship of Teachers 2. Objective The objective is to enable one seeking for Teacher License to be qualified as to the knowledge standards imposed. 3.
