why epop? The Exam Preparation Outreach Program (EPOP) gives people committed to community service and the development of their country the qualifications needed to go to an international university. Many capable students face difficulties finding affordable and convenient ways to prepare for and pass university entrance examinations. EPOP aims to address this problem by providing students accepted to the program with a range of services aimed at helping them achieve their goals. The entrance exam requirements can vary from university to university and country to country so it is important to know which country and university you want to go to. The most common exams we prepare students for are the TOEFL, IELTS and GED. EPOP works closely with Student Support Asia which provides detailed information and advice on high quality programs within the region, on their entrance requirements, and on sources of scholarship funding. The qualifications TOEFL

GED GED (General Education Development Test) – After passing this test, you will have an American High School diploma. You will likely need to take this test if you didn’t pass 10th standard education or are applying to a university that requires high school students to complete grade 12. The GED tests not only English, but Science, Math and Social Studies as well. EPOP can prepare you for the GED and if you meet our requirements we will provide you an opportunity to take the test in one of the test centers throughout Southeast Asia.

IELTS IELTS (International English Language Testing System) – The IELTS is British. The IELTS has Academic and General Training versions. People trying to get into university take the Academic test. The IELTS is offered in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Yangon and many cities throughout Southeast Asia. The IELTS tests all four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. If you meet our requirements after preparing you for the test, EPOP will arrange for your transportation and accommodation and make your IELTS test experience as painless as possible.

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) – The TOEFL is American and is used primarily to test students’ English ability who are trying to get into university. The TOEFL can come in three forms: Paper-Based Test (PBT), Computer-Based Test (CBT), and Internet-Based Test. The most widely accepted form is the IBT which has to be taken in specific testing locations which are usually in major cities. EPOP is a recognized TOEFL test provider and we have negotiated with many universities throughout Asia to accept a paper-based test called the TOEFL ITP which is administered by us. This is good news since traveling can be difficult and expensive. The TOEFL ITP tests listening comprehension, reading comprehension, written expression and structure.
