1-Executive Summary For any country either that is developed country (DCs) or underdeveloping (UDCs) problems are common all over the world. The major issues for country are to cope the problems that are frequently prevailing in the country. The major problems were occurred in commercial areas of the nations. To become stabilize economy one must need to know the problems which are facing by the buyers and sellers in the commercial areas. The commercial markets of the capital city of Northern Area works as hub for its linking areas. The daily transportation services are provided by the government as well as private companies for carrying passengers as well as goods forwarding agencies are operating in the city of Gilgit. Which are then distributed to different markets in the capital city of Gilgit? Also from the areas far away from the city such as Hunza, Ghizar, Skardu etc have to come to the main city for wholesaling and retailing purposes that’s why it works as hub. There are different types of markets in the city that fulfils the customer's day to day requirements, such as eatables, garments, tourism & transport, hotel ling, banking etc. The smooth running of markets is guaranteed for the development of the area. The area also has the opportunity for imports and exports of goods and services due to close border with atomic power country (China). The future prospects of this sector will lead to the development of the area through providing employment opportunities. Definitely there are also problems regarding this sector such as physical, social, political and technological problems. To find out the problems such as physical problems (environmental) this research study is needed to be conducted which will provide the solid information for decision makers for making policies regarding development and the growth of the commercial markets of the area. This study is conducted to find out Physical problems such as sewerage systems, parking areas and traffic problems currently faced by the individuals in the commercial markets. And also to determine what impacts these problems have on the individuals. Our population will be all the individuals who come for transactions in the market, buyers and .sellers As the study was conducted to determine the physical (environmental) hurdles currently prevailing in the commercial markets of the capital city Gilgit. The problems such as sewerage system, traffic and parking area for vehicles.

2-Introduction Gilgit (Urdu: ‫ )گلگت‬is the capital city of the Northern Area, Pakistan. Gilgit City forms a tehsil of Gilgit, within Gilgit District. Gilgit City is one of the two major hubs on the Northern Areas for all mountaineering expeditions of Karakurum to the peaks of the Himalayas. The Gilgit which is the capital city of Northern Area works as hub for its linking areas such as valleys of Hunza, Ghizar and Skardu. The capital plays vital role in the area of business, the daily thousands of .transactions are take place with its linking areas Gilgit has an area of 38,000 square kilometers (14,700 sq mi). The region is significantly mountainous, lying on the foothills of the Karakoram Mountains. It is drained by the Indus River, which rises in .the neighboring regions of Ladakh and Baltistan Weather conditions for Gilgit are dominated by its geographical location, a valley in mountainous area, southwest of Karakoram range. The prevalent season of Gilgit is winter, occupying the valley eight to nine months a year. The summer season is brief and hot. The piercing sunrays may raise the temperature up to 40 °C (104 °F), yet it is always cool in the shade. As a result of this extremity in .the weather, landslides and avalanches are frequent in the area The education system in Gilgit is almost affiliated with Karakurum international university which is recognized by HEC. Education is provided from play group to master level. Electronics are cheaply available through out markets in city.
