FIDELITY:
appointment, often made secretly
RETINUE:
sweetheart, from old French meaning “with love”.
ASSIGNATION:
loyalty, devotion.
PARAMOUR:
form of combat between two knights on horseback.
servants; attendants serving someone of importance
PENTECOST:
Christian holiday that falls seven weeks after Easter
During the Reading... Read along and stay awake “Popcorn Reading” Pay Attention Be sure you watch to see how Sir Lancelot responds towards King Arthur and Queen Guinevere throughout this tale.
Post Reading [pg. 969] First Thoughts – Who do you think would play Lancelot in your own film version of this tale and why?
On your own... [pg.969] Reading Check (revised – do this version) Write a letter to King Arthur, you being Sir Lancelot and tell him or her all about two adventures in the story you just read.
