Operated by MSU’s College of Arts and Letters

Each semester, MSU’s Art and Design majors have the chance to showcase their work to the public. These events offer the opportunity for education and professional experience.

Exhibition Schedule The following exhibits will be hosted during the Spring 2019 semester:

January 25 – February 15 Art + Design Foundations Exhibition

February 22 – March 22 Sculpture + Drawing Biennial Student Exhibition The Student Exhibition Center (SEC), hosts a variety of exhibits that benefit Missouri State University students and the Springfield community.

Dedicated to providing a space for students to showcase their art, the SEC allows for the communication between student exhibitors and the public.

Located on Historic Walnut Street, the SEC acts as a home for the arts. The three-story Victorian house was built in 1894 and is a local historical landmark.

The SEC also played a part in the founding of the First Friday Art Walk, which takes place the first Friday of every month and supports art in Downtown Springfield.
