a one week program for students in grades 8 -12 established in 1980 by four Eastern Ontario school boards courses are delivered by three post-secondary institutions approximately 2,200 students participate annually students choose a course from one of eight disciplines courses stimulate higher learning and career exploration

experience a university campus interact with peers from across Eastern Ontario interact with graduate students and professors learn in a state of the art classroom or laboratory visit nearby political institutions and national landmarks

Student Eligibility Students are nominated by teachers if they meet or exceed the following five criteria: ¾ ¾ ¾ ¾ ¾
a mature and responsible attitude a desire to attend university independent learning skills a need to be challenged academic achievement

Participation Certificates Upon successful completion of the one week program, each students is awarded a participation certificate. This certificate can be placed in a career portfolio.

Scholarship Program EMCP students become admissible to receive one of four scholarships offered at each university. Two scholarships of $1000 and two scholarships of $500 are awarded annually to students who have completed high school and who are accepted as full time students in the first year of a baccalaureate program at either university. Scholarship application forms are available in high school guidance offices across the region.
