Thursday, October 18, 2018 To Whom it May Concern: I am writing on behalf of Miss Emalee de La Grange, senior at Western High School. I have the pleasure of working with Emalee in our year long Flex course her sophomore year, in psychology her junior year and currently in the elective of sociology and Advanced Placement Psychology. Throughout the three years I have worked with Emalee, I have watched her growth toward academics. Emalee’s experiences in Flex were extremely involved, as she learned to continuously stay focused, accomplishing goals and helping others once her tasks were completed. Since our Flex course is developed for students to have a more personalized curriculum, Emalee utilized time to the fullest. For example, in classes Emalee was challenged, she received additional help to better her understanding of the material. In addition, this is a time to reflect on her courses, future plans and set personal and academic goals, which she did even as a sophomore. Her interest her junior year was piqued with psychology, thus she is currently challenging herself in our year long AP Psychology course; she is rising to the challenge. Additionally, Emalee participates in her society's discussion as part of sociology class and I can count on her to lend a helping hand when needed. I am honored to be a part of Emalee’s education each day and believe her dedication and motivation to succeed makes her an outstanding candidate for your college. Respectfully,

Mrs. Kimberly Shore Western High School Educator
