Governor Diane Denish Pleased With Selection of Senator John Edwards as Senator John Kerry’s Presidential Running-mate (Santa Fe)— Lieutenant Governor Diane Denish says she supports John Kerry’s choice of North Carolina Senator John Edwards as his Presidential running mate. Lt. Governor Denish serves as the Chair of the Kerry Campaign in New Mexico. “Senator Edwards is a patriotic, experienced and gifted leader, who will compliment Senator Kerry in his quest to become President. I truly believe Senator Edwards will be a passionate advocate for the American people. John Kerry and John Edwards will work together for good-paying jobs, affordable health care, a strong military and a respected America. “ Denish said. In Congress, Senator Edwards has focused on the welfare of families and children across the country. He fought for middle-class tax cutes to help families save. He has worked to improve public schools, improve teacher pay, fund no child left behind and expand after-school programs. Lt. Governor Denish is also looking forward to attending the Democratic National Convention in Boston with both Senators. Lt. Governor Denish will be attending the Democratic Convention in Boston later this month. She will serve as the Chair, and voting member, of the New Mexico Delegation. Lt.
