Growing up in Atlanta, I have attended many events at the Woodruff Arts Center as well as its sister centers. I am graduating from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Art History. I also have design experience from working as a floral and store designer while getting my degree. From the job listing and the information provided on your website, I understand that you are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, design background, and ability to seamlessly join your existing curatorial team. After attending Arizona State University, one of the leaders in art history collegiate programs for the country, I am confident that I have the knowledge required to contribute to the fantastic exhibits that the Woodruff Arts Center creates every year. Furthermore, my job at Hurd Orchards, at which I excelled, required extensive team work as well as a variety of other skills like customer service, leadership, and design. My experience will provide you a diligent worker who loves art and works well with others. The online job listing mentioned organization of public events as one of the job requirements. I have experience with organizing museum events through volunteering at my local museum, the Memorial Art Gallery, throughout my collegiate years. I volunteered during museum fundraisers and promotional events, starting out with a small role and growing to have more responsibility as time went on. Because of this experience, I am already familiar with the ins and outs of museum event planning and will need minimal training on the subject.
