Dhaka-Chittagong Expressway (PPP) Project
For economic analysis of the expressway The economic analysis will justify the implementation of the proposed expressway the life line of Bangladesh economy connecting overall whole country through the capital city Dhaka with the main port city chittagong. Road transportation plays dominant role in Bangladesh economy. The proposed highway bears a significant role in the country’s economy that need to be emphasized property as far as possible to appraise the viability at the project. However, follow aspects would be considered to conduct economic analysis. i.
As per TOR 30 year’s project life shall be considered & no salvage vehicle shall be accounted.
ii.
In fore costing future traffic throughout the project life, past traffic growth trend form secondary sewers shall be accumulated through current traffic surveys like O-D survey.
iii.
The factors like population growth GDP growth and other important factors like elasticity of demand for traffic growth shall also the considered.
iv.
The factors components based on design of he express will cover capital cost, O & M cost including major repavement costs and other costs that will incur to keep the road in good serviceable service providing condition like marking of direction protection of highway slopes, speed breaker, roadside parking facilities etc.
v.
Benefits components shall made up of VOC sowings, Travel Time Cost (TTC) sowing, reduction of accidents cost besides these environmental benefits, benefits from growth of economic development especially incurrent of agricultural field, benefits firm timber, fuel, oxygen that may be outcome of developed high may be included besides these intangible benefits that may accrue from improvement at such highway may be taken into consider in the economic analysis.
