In this activity you will learn about Earth’s structure. Some of the ways that Earth surface changes. Model a volcano eruption.

Plate tectonics It’s the theory scientist use to explain plate movements.

The movement of plates causes Earth’s surface to change constantly and dramatically causing earthquakes and volcano eruptions.

Volcano n

A volcano is cone shaped mountain with an opening which may erupt with a violent explosion of lava ash and gas.

A model volcano n

An erupting volcano sends out hot liquid rock and ash, and it causes rapid changes to the land around it. Make a model to see how a volcano can change the land around it.

Critical thinking n

There are some other causes of rapid changes like pollution or the indiscriminated use of natural resources. What would happen if resources such as air and water could not be reused?
