Situation of human rights in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina Commission on Human Rights Decision 2000/257

At its 45th plenary meeting, on 28 July 2000, the Economic and Social Council, taking note of Commission on Human Rights resolution 2000/26 of 18 April 2000,* endorsed the Commission’s decision to renew for one year the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Croatia and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), and its request to the Special Rapporteur to report to the Commission at its fifty-seventh session on the work conducted in fulfilment of the mandate and to submit an interim report to the General Assembly at its fifty-fifth session, paying particular attention to those areas that remain a source of grave concern, including the deteriorating human rights situation in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro). *See Official Records of the Economic and Social Council, 2000, Supplement No. 3 (E/2000/23), chap.
