Dynamic Block Constraints Ok.. This block is years in the making and I have never asked for help on this dynamic block, but its something so many people can use it needs to be made available. The issue with this block is the arrow and leader....the leader is a polyline, The leader needs to scale from the point it is attached at the bubble or other block shapes so to speak.. the leader should get longer/larger from its starting point while maintaining the arrowheads alignment and scale at the end of the leader...2014 dwg file is attached...let me know if you can get it to work.. and I'll buy you a beer or coffee if you're ever out to San Bernardino... I call this block the Item Arc. I have never been able to figure out the proper constraints for getting it to work. Be sure to click on all the grips to see what it can do...(change item shapes, rotate the leader and mirror the leader)...it has a wipeout within as well on color 254,255,255 for keeping it "white" all the time.. Cheers and good luck -Jason

Re: Dynamic Block Constraints Hey Jason, I took a quick look at it - I like the idea, but parts of the execution have me wondering. I'm not sure what the grip at the top is for, and actually, using either of the polar grips has bad effects. I did a very similar block for a very specific use for my users, but after struggling with the arrowhead, I decided to just use a Multi-leader instead. I've attached it so you can study it. The nice thing about using a Multi-leader is that they are dynamic entities and they respect their own adjustable styles. Another bonus is that they can be annotative (if you can handle it). Sometimes that can be difficult to control, but I happen to like annotative the more I get used to it. Anyway, check out how I use polar stretches to stretch around the leader vertexes (emulating a "free" multi-leader - not contained in a dynamic block). Oh, and BTW, this should be posted in the dynamic blocks forum - You'll get more help there. Ronald A. Powell CAD Developer/Operator TGW Systems Inc. Spring Lake, MI

Re: Dynamic Block Constraints Topic since added to Dynamic Blocks (couldnt find a way to move it) Thanks Ron.. The whole idea behind this block is staying away from the splines in the Multi-Leader and having more control of the custom components... I might have a bad grip in there....I looked for a blocks forum, must have missed it... thats why I dropped it here... I know its just a matter of someone with the know how getting it to work. there must be a way.
