DRIVING ON ICE
In icy weather, it's always best to avoid driving. If you must drive and you hit a patch of ice, stay off your brakes and decelerate slowly, holding the car steady as you travel over the ice. If your car goes into a skid:
Turn wheels
Direction of skid
1 NO BRAKES
Take your foot off the gas pedal but don’t hit the brake.
2 STEER
Steer gently in the direction you want the front of the car to go.

3 REGAIN CONTROL
As the car straightens out, you will be able to regain traction and control.
