A trophy will be awarded to “Most Promising Performer” in the Brass/Wind Instrument sections Sponsor: MTAQ INC. – GOLD COAST BRANCH. A trophy will be awarded to “Most Promising Performer” in the String sections. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF CHAMPIONSHIPS ONE PIECE ONLY IS TO BE PLAYED. TRIOS & QUARTETS MAY PLAY ANY NUMBER OF PIECES UP TO THE TIME LIMIT

MUSIC WHICH HAS BEEN WRITTEN WITH AN ACCOMPANIMENT MUST BE PLAYED WITH AN ACCOMPANIST SECTION SWB1. OPEN AGE TRIO or QUARTET – ANY COMBINATION STRINGS/ WIND/BRASS May be scored to include piano. Professionals are excluded Optional number of pieces of a contrasting nature. MUST BE UNCONDUCTED. Competitors may perform twice but only in different combinations. Piano used as accompaniment only will not be judged. No percussion. TIME LIMIT: 8 minutes (see rule 28) 1st, 2nd, 3rd Trophies SWB2. PRIMARY SCHOOL TRIO or QUARTET - ANY COMBINATION STRINGS/ WIND/BRASS May be scored to include piano. Optional number of pieces of a contrasting nature. MUST BE UNCONDUCTED. It is not necessary for all members to belong to the same school but must attend a primary or middle school. Competitors may perform twice but only in different combinations.
