DISCUSSION In this experiment, the motive of conducting the experiment of “Humidity Meter Calibration” are to observe and understand the calibration method of testing the humidity. Generally, a humidity is known as the amount of water vapour present in an air. In other hand, a humidity calibration involves generating a stable level of humidity by measuring using a suitable fundamental reference instrument and instrument under calibration. Hence, based from this we are required to make a comparison of the reading. The reference instrument that used in this experiment is a hygrometer. A hygrometer is an instrument that used to measure the amount of humidity and water vapour in the atmosphere, soil, air and in confined spaces. This type of instrument usually observed on some factors of measurement that influences the change in moisture such as temperature, pressure, mass and etc. In this experiment the humidity was indicated by HP23 hand held indicator as the reference instrument.(The Fundemental Moisture of Calibration , 2015) stated that the reference instrument normally is more accurate than the instrument under the test. Following by the equipment that calibrated in the experiment are the humidity generator.A humidity generator are device that used to calibrate and adjusting humidity to a certain desired value.Therefore the to calibrate humidity probe the ROTRONIC HygroGen2 was used as the humidity generator. HygroGen2 is a generator that controlled relative humidity and temperature environments and it is also suitable for calibration of temperature instrumentation. Thus the HygroFlex HF5 reffered as the transmitter that connected to the HygroClip 2 plug-in probes which is known as the humidity temperature probe.During conducting the experiment the the probe was as fully immersed in the generator as to reduce the effect of room temperature on the humidity sensor.
