DEAN CAMPAIGN RAISES MORE THAN $600,000 IN LESS THAN ONE MONTH Mayoral candidate Karl Dean’s campaign took in $604,515 from individual contributors in less than a month since the August 3 primary election, his campaign disclosed today. The campaign reported total contributions of $883,415 since the latest disclosure period, which began on July 24 and ended August 31. Dean contributed $250,000 of that amount, but has not given to his campaign during the run-off election. A total of $633,415 came from other individual donors during the entire reporting period. “Our voter support continues to grow, and the momentum is definitely carrying over to our fundraising efforts,” Dean said. “I am very grateful to the many, many people who have stepped up to help. Raising more than $600,000 in less than a month is quite a feat, and a real indication of the team effort we are getting countywide.” ####
