Disaster preparedness, evacuation map set for Antique To strengthen the disaster preparedness and climate change adaptation of the local communities in Antique, DOST VI in collaboration with the University of Antique and the Provincial Government of Antique conducted a Training on Disaster Preparedness and Workshop on the Evacuation Map Preparation in the municipalities of Anini-y, Tobias Fornier and Hamtic, Antique on March 8, 14 and 15, 2019 respectively. Specifically, the activity was conducted in the barangays of Lisub-B, Diclum and Fundan of the said municipalities. The said training was one of the target activities of the CEST Program in the province of Antique with resource speakers coming from DOST VI, DSWD VI, and MDRRMOs of Anini-y, Tobias Fornier and Hamtic, Antique. Topics discussed include Camp Coordination and Camp Management, Disaster preparedness and Workshop on the Evacuation Map Preparation, Disaster preparedness and Workshop on the Evacuation Map Preparation, and the Bantay Panahon. Participants of the said activity include four barangay officials and 24 residents of the said barangays with the same training to be conducted in the remaining 15 municipalities in the Province of Antique.
