International Women's Day March 8 commemorates the role of women in search of equality, and the struggle for rights. Its origin is due to a fact that marked the history of women at work. A fire at the Cotton factory in New York, gave rise to the tribute. About 130 women died in the building during a fire. They demanded to look for a reduction of working hours to 10 hours, a salary equal to that of men because they exercised the same activities, and the poor working conditions they suffered. The owner of the factory ordered to close the doors of the building so that the women desisted of their idea, and left the place. But he did not achieve what he wanted and caused the death of the workers.
More than an excuse, women's day is an opportunity to express their love and gratitude. Therefore, on this day it is customary to give them flowers and elegant dinners, jewelry and clothes, and bring them a nice serenade.
This day, more than a celebration, is a date to remember the struggles, dreams and strength of Colombian women who are the pride of this country. Know here what it is that makes them strong, how is the general situation in terms of work and psychological and test what kind of woman you are.
Message for women's day
For all the women who today celebrate their day, congratulations. They deserve to be recognized and loved, and to be above all respected because they are a source of life, an inexhaustible source of love. It is worth giving them roses or flowers because you are already worthy representatives of the most beautiful flowers in the world. And not only for their beauty they are admired but also for their strength that disguised as fragility helps them overcome the most difficult challenges without bending their heads. Today it is not enough to just give flowers and a smile, with a hug and a "happy day". Today it is necessary that we commit ourselves, that together we fight so that women from all over the world have the place they deserve, be treated with dignity and reach their full potential. Happy Women's Day!".
