Desirable change To create awareness among the public; young and old about the consequences of re-using used cooking oil for cooking food. In addition to that, to provide them the alternatives to using cooking oil. The recent scientific studies by Dr Csallany from University of Minnesota shows that used cooking oil contains toxic compound called HNE which will increase the chances of getting heart disease, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and liver disease, to name a few. Therefore, we feel it is important for the public to aware of this new finding. Cooking food using cooking oil is not the only mean to cooking. So we want to remind people or introduce to the public the several different methods of cooking. These include steam cooking, grill cooking and the use of cooking spray. For this information to reach the public, we come up with a plan to make a brochure which instead of printing mass copies by ourselves, we are going send a prototype copy of the brochure to the Ministry of Health in hopes that they would consider of distributing copies of the brochure.
