This panel session will review innovative strategies for campus planning and architecture that bridge between academic and civic communities. Discussion will focus on campus placemaking methodologies, including the adaptive re-use implications involved with fitting a new school or program into a dense campus or urban fabric. How can these interventions in new and adaptive re-use strategies for campus buildings and infrastructure transform campuses to support the evolving mission and curriculum of the institution?
