A TASTE OF MORPHOLOGY Exercises:
1. Work with the Lexical List 1; divide each word in morphemes and try to assign them a meaning. Can these morphemes occur alone or do they always need another morpheme? 2. Look at the Lexical List 1 again and check whether the words have inflectional or derivational morphemes (or both). Then compare with your classmates. 3. Read one of Vogue Magazine pages and identify as many words containing derivational and inflectional morphemes as possible. Arrange the words in groups.
