Department of Orthopedic Surgery Lahore General Hospital, Lahore. To Whom It May Concern: It gives me great pleasure to write these lines for Dr. Abdul Karim s/o Bagh Hussain, who worked with me as a Postgraduate resident from 01/10/05 to --/11/2006 in Orthopedic Surgery department. Lahore General Hospital is 575 bedded, recognized teaching hospital attached with the Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore, Punjab, with very active department of Orthopedic Surgery. During his stay he was exposed to variety of orthopedic surgical cases. His job was whole time and residential. He showed great responsibility and passion for the management of individual patient. He was actively involved in the perioperative management of inpatients and in Accident & Emergency Department as well. He has been attending two operation session, two outpatient session and forty eight hour emergency per week. He has assisted me various orthopedic surgical procedures. He also performed variety of procedures with satisfactory results under my supervision. In addition to his clinical duties he was actively involved in different academic activities in hospital like, clinical audit, journal club meetings clinicopathological conferences etc. He took keen interest in the welfare of the patients and was very sympathetic and caring. He was punctual in his duties and was a polite conscientious worker, cooperative with colleagues. He had good interpersonal relations with his colleagues, nursing and paramedical staff. His conduct and character during his stay was good. I recommend him for more responsible post and wish him all the success in future.
