• Complete blood count • the classical dengue triad • increased hematocrit (hemoconcentration) • atypical lymphocytosis • thrombocytopenia.
• IgM c • raised during days 3–5 of illness • igher in primary infection than secondary infection
• IgG • 5–10 of illness
• NS1 • Detectable in first 3 days of fever • Day 3 or 4 after the onset of fever • IgM • becomes detectable • remains detectable for several months after the DENV infection. • Recovery phase in patient with 1st Dengue Infection • IgG • appears for first time • remains detectable for life.
• At the time of illness onset in a patient with a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th (secondary) DENV infection • IgG • present • not useful in making a diagnosis. • However, this test is included in a number of dengue diagnostic testing packages offered by laboratories.
