VOLUNTARY ACTIVITIES



Entertainments Committee (2008 – 2009), attending committee meetings and getting involved with the advertising of union entertainments, through distributing fliers and posters.



University Course Representative: working on behalf of other students and alongside other representatives to bring issues of concern to staff attention at Staff-Student Committee meetings. (2007 – 2008). • Active member of the ‘Stop the Traffik’ Society, through assisting in the planning, advertising and running of events to raise awareness of the campaign against slave trafficking. As part of a group, I was involved in the brainstorming and advertising of activities to use as a basis to collect signatures for a country-wide petition (2007 – 2008).



Member of ‘The Warren’ Theatre Group. Taking part in two annual shows, with commitment to regular rehearsals and the advertising of productions to raise money for local charities. Alongside this, I took part in the company’s small Christmas shows at the meeting of a local MS group. I have also been involved in the Front of House team, which involved setting up the theatre before doors open, greeting audience members and selling programmes and memorabilia. (2002 – Present).



Proactive member of the School Council discussing issues of concern within the school. Often acting as Secretary and taking part in the organisation and running of fundraising activities and events for various charities, such as tuck shops and the Christmas Fete.



St Paul’s Church of England Sunday School leader, preparing lessons and activities for children ages 7 – 11. I worked mainly with a small group of 7 – 9 year olds, where I was responsible for their comprehension of the issues being addressed that week, and the completion of the activities, as well as monitoring their behaviour and understanding during Church services. I also took an active role in the organisation of various activities, including the staging and technical aspects of the annual Nativity play. (2003 – 2006).
