PROFILE EVANGELIST DOLORES WILLIAMS

Evangelist Dolores Williams was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she attended the public school system, and Pierce Junior College. She also attended the “School of the Prophets”. Evangelist Williams is the wife of Deacon Rufus Williams and the mother of two daughters, The Lord saved, sanctified and filled her with the Holy Ghost when she was sixteen years of age under the pastorate of the late Bishop R.T. Jones Sr. at the Christian Tabernacle COGIC. It was in the Tabernacle where Evangelist Williams was involved in many facets of ministry. She served as a Vacation Bible School Teacher, Secretary to the Pastor, President of the Youth Department, member of the Radio Choir, Junior Prayer Warrior and also a Junior Missionary. She could often be found on the “prayer altar.” She is a former member of the Fellowship Tabernacle Church under the Pastorship of Bishop Robert M. Taylor Sr. where she served as the Church Mother. She was a devoted Church Mother and Prayer Intercessor. She also served as President of the Women’s Department, member of the Minister’s Council, HIV/AIDS Ministry, Sheepfold Ministry, and Prayer Counselor for the church’s Broadcast Ministry. She is a lover of young people and has been influential in the organization of various teen workshops and seminars and other activities for the youth. The Lord called her to the ministry and she acknowledged this call years ago. The Holy Ghost was a constant convictor of the Word that was instilled in her spirit and that Still, Small Voice kept saying, “You cannot run from your calling – you must do the work of the Lord.” Ever since then, she has been working, teaching, praying and witnessing to others about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Souls are very precious to her. It’s not unusual to find her visiting the sick (known or unknown) in the hospital, private homes, and in nursing homes. She has a burden for souls. She has a “special love” for those who are neglected, cast down, and shunned by people – they are closest to her heart. She can often be found on the prayer altar.

Evangelist Williams is an ordained Evangelist/Elder, but has always possessed service responsibilities. Her greatest joy is seeing souls delivered and set free by the power of God, as well as the healing of bodies. She is a Certified HIV/AIDS Counselor, Board Member of the Ordinary Women with Extraordinary Strength Ministries, Women’s Aglow, Prison Ministry and an Honorary Member of the ECC Reams Women’s’ Ministries, and also serves as Spiritual Advisor to the Kononia Conferences, Louisburg, N.C. Evangelist Williams has prayerfully and faithfully accepted the call to Co-Pastor the Anchor of Hope Ministries, Inc. under the Pastorship of Elder Jacqueline Bethea. She has adopted the church’s motto as a guide for her daily life, “I MUST REMAIN IN THE POSITION WHEREBY THE POWER OF GOD CAN FLOW THROUGH ME.” The Lord has truly blessed this woman of God with a special anointing and prayer ministry.
