What was the purpose of the project? The true purpose of the study was to induce learned helplessness and test its effect on spot-the-difference task performance. The above project title was a pseudo-research hypothesis so participants did not guess the true meaning of the study. 2. How will I find out about the results? Email experimenter for results on the current study 3. Will I receive any individual feedback Individual feedback will not be given, however group feedback will be available from the researcher. 4. What will happen to the information I have provided? Data will be destroyed after analysis. 5. How will the results be disseminated? N/A 6. Have I been deceived in any way during the project? Yes, in one condition the spot-the-difference task pictures had no differences between them, until the final three pictures, which were the same for all participants. 7. If I change my mind and wish to withdraw the information I have provided, how do I do this?
