Tuesday: -Research on Moodle latest software -Understanding of moodle’s guide for configuration Things done: Downloaded the latest moodle package Research and understanding of moodle guide and follow the steps to download and configure -Follow the guide to configure moodle -Went to Problems encounter: -We try to follow the guide to configure moodle package software, however, the information and steps do not tally - After we click “Start Moodle”, first of all, we need to open an internet explorer. -Next if pop out a message box requesting for user and password. -Approach a friend who doing project on moodle, for more information on user and password, however, it still produces error -Tried out manually but we don’t really understand Reference: // http://www.icewalkers.com/Linux/Software/522170/Moodle.html http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.1.html#win32 http://docs.moodle.org/en/Windows_installation http://www.php.net/downloads.php Day 3: Continue to research on moodle Things done: -Tried out manually by downloading the weekly moodle as well as another 3 programs which are PHP, SQL and APACHE -Don’t really aware of how to merge the programs as the guide was not specific -Approach a friend who doing project on moodle and the steps of configuration is similar as the guide I found to configure the moodle package -Moodle works smoothly after the technician help up out by: Open an internet explorer > Tools > Internet Options > connections> Lan Settings > advance >Type “*.localhost;*.eng.tp.edu.sg” into exceptions > click “OK” > click “bypass proxy server for local addresses” > ok >ok Problems encounter: -Suspect that the problems occur due to some configuration on the computer itself therefore, we consult Madam low to call for technician.
