no one passes this pathway but my eyesight
after Katrinasunset creates a series of sky ripples
sunny morning
a tulip blossom bend
to kiss a blue Phlo

About The Author
Melchor F. Cichon is Maeara. He was born in Sta. Cruz, Lezo, Aklan, Philippines on April 7, 1945.
He was awarded the 2001 Gawad Pambansang Alagad ni Balagtas Award presented by the Unyon ng mga Manunulat sa Pilipinas (UMPIL).
He won first prize in the first Home Life Poetry contest in 1994.
Some of his poems have been published in Hiligaynon, Yuhum, Philippine Free Press, Philippine Graphic, Home Life, Ani, Philippine Panorama, Pagbutlag, Dagyaw, Bueabod, Banga, Patubas, Busay, Media Watch, Mantala, San-ag and Heron’s Nest.
