Accuread • In this position I received a company car and HHT and it would involve me connecting my HHT to the internet twice every day to update with new work and send off the old work. I would have to plan routes of up to 1,000 houses at a time, so I would be able to visit as many houses as possible. You were responsible for everything, including time management, and I would contact my Team leader once a week to discuss the previous and upcoming week. DHL • I worked delivering packages, I used my own car to drive to the depot, sort and pick the packages that I needed to deliver that day. Load into my car and then deliver them in the OX33, OX9 areas, also covering sickness, I was able to travel around Oxfordshire and learn more about the area. Marks & Spencer • I worked part-time in this busy supermarket as a customer assistant, after 1 year, I was promoted to level 3, which meant that I was responsible for co-ordinating tea breaks, making sure that all tills were sufficiently stocked, as well as dealing

with customer enquiries and complaints at the customer service desk, among over responsibilities. The job entailed operating tills, helping others who were new to the job become familiar with what needed doing. I also had to conform to due diligence requirements, filling out form. Working in a team in this way aided me to build good communication skills, with my fellow employees as well as with customers, with whom I interacted frequently.

S.G. Media Publications Ltd • I worked for this company, delivering one of the monthly publications, “Index Magazine”, which involved me delivering the monthly publication to over 900 houses; I would spend one entire Saturday and Sunday a month delivering these. One of the other parts of the job was to put the leaflets inside each magazine, and make sure everyone had one.I was offered extra routes, and I never had any discrepancies whether the job was done properly. News In Focus • This was a free newspaper that I also distributed weekly on a Wednesday after school; I had a route of 250 houses and would spend every Wednesday from 4:30pm till 7:00pm or even later delivering it to my local area.

Interests and Achievements

Travel

I love to travel and have visited many States in USA. I particularly like the diversity of different cultures. One of my favourite holidays was when I won a logic mind game tournament, in which the price was £2,500 to spend on a holiday to anywhere in the world. I chose Florida where we travelled from Orlando down to the Keys, including a visit to the Everglades. Summer 2008 was another big holiday, I and 4 friends organised a trip hiking around Europe, this amazing trip brought me much independence, as well as teaching me to respect and how to adapt to many different cultures. During this time, I learnt considerably about compromising, toleration, and adjusting to new surroundings fast, as we were travelling constantly. The experience though was amazing, and I now wish to explore further into Europe as well as to Asia.

Sport

I have an interest in playing golf, and have been a member of 2 different clubs. I have won 3 junior trophies when I was 13 14 and 15, but I haven’t been able to play as much as I would have liked. As I have become busier with working as well as School and University. But it is something I would like to carry on at a social level. I also play tennis on a social level, and in the past played competitively.
