STUDY BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE The main objective of the study is to identify the concrete construction of identity of MSEUF students that are fans of K-pop culture and to determine its impact, limitations and on how they adapt the culture. BENEFITS The study may help to control the students’ addiction to K-pop culture and to limit their adaptations. The findings of this study may be used as information in the field of Mass Communication theories so that students become more aware on their level of involvement and exposure in the world of digital media and the continuous growth of mass media by means of these identity constructions.

ALTERNATIVES TO THIS STUDY The survey/interview is entirely voluntary and the respondent/subject has the freedom to withdraw or choose not to participate in the study. In this case, he/she will be replaced by another respondent/subject with similar characteristics. ONE’S PARTICIPATION The study is a qualitative research method which will use interviewing as an approach upon data gathering. The respondents/subjects will be 10 students of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation. The study participants will be part of the study that will be conducted in SY 2018-2019. The respondent/participant can refuse to answer any specific questions or decide to terminate the survey/interview at any point. RISKS The study will involve minimal risk for the respondents as it will only focus on gathering their perceptions. The respondent is informed that participation or nonparticipation or refusal to answer questions will have no effect on services that he/she or any member of the family may receive from education services providers. PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY All the answers to the questions will not be given to anyone else and no reports of this study will ever identify the respondent/subject in any way. OPEN DATA I understand that the information I’ll provide in this study will be used for research purposes. It will not be used in any manner which would allow identification of my individual responses. Anonymised research data will be archived at the College of Arts and Sciences in order to make them available to other researchers in line with current data sharing practices.
