Module Summary  There are several call types that are used in a VoIP network.  Analog ports can be connected directly to a phone, FAX, or other end device in a VoIP network, or as they can be connected trunks.  Dial peers are used to route calls to the proper device.  Digital ports are used as trunks to the PSTN, corporate WAN, or a PBX.  QSIG is usually used to interconnect PBXs from different vendors.
